Cute Little Girl

by Suriakumari
(Bangalore,Karnataka,India)

I waited, I saw, I liked
my grand daughter.
She came with a glow
in her face,
in swift walking

with her tiny feet,
with loads and loads of energy.
She was naive, but smart.
When she smiled I found lovely pearls,
when she spoke I heard lullaby,
when she sang it was poetry.

Sweet darling, precious made a poignant farewell,
I perspired tasting the unleashed affection,
I drowned in the deep sea of despair,
and lost the flavour of the day.
Her behaviour was exotic with excitement for the journey,
but she dropped few memories
to fondle and rekindle,
an imprint of love and affection.
May be I see in her little of me.

Touching words
by: Swapna

Touching and somewhat poignant expression of all the emotions that the little girl evoked in you.
