What If?

by Mohit Singh
(Mumbai, Maharashtra, India)

The vastness of the sky; so much to decide

The vastness of the sky; so much to decide

What if tomorrow,
The sun doesn’t shine?
What if tomorrow,
The birds don’t fly?

I ask this question,
again and again,
what if tomorrow,
is not like today.

What if tomorrow I don’t
Have anyone next to me?
no one to talk to?
no one to see?

What if my dreams don’t
Come true?
what if I have to do?
what I don’t want to?

What if my eyes don’t open tomorrow
what if I am asleep forever?
What if I am gone and
no one knows?
What if I am asleep forever?

Excellent verse

Yes, Mohit, indeed. As Vimala rightly points out, you're the 'true companion' to me.
Keep writing. Waiting to read more.
