You Can See Me

by Surabhi Kaushik
(Bangalore, India)

Crimson skies or crystal blue,
Between white puffy clouds
And ribbons of dazzling sunshine
I know you are out there
I know you are mine.
In the dark black night skies
Like a bright shiny diamond you are
Always feel so near, though I know you are away, too far
But something tells me you are watching me
From the greyish black clouds above.
Day or night, rain or snow
You are forever watching me I know
It’s strange but I know it’s true
You are living in the skies above
Showering me with so much that I cannot see
The high blue skies are your arms
Forever holding me in a tight embrace
Which only I can feel
And I know it’s you.
