No Words.......

There were no words left

Nor ink to inscribe

What is felt within

This emptiness inside



The moonless face

Of heaven I see

Where I stand, unmoved

Undaunted, undefeated



In this darkened night

I was caused to bear

To hide the pain

I didn't even know existed



There were no songs to sing

No notes to bring

Nor melodious utterance

That is sure to inspire



A solitary lamp spent

I have only but one left

A prayer of love I kept

To light this heart of hearts!



Note from the poet:

For many nights I've waited in vain, but could not find words to gather to make even a single poem... This is what I've managed to share...Hope it's worthy of your time.

Thank you for making me see that something incomplete can be deemed complete. For finding a single grain of beauty among the scattered unwanted fragments of rocks on the sand so casually trod upon.
