2. Editor's Note

In June, we had received too many contributions, but unfortunately we were able to consider only a couple of them for lack of time.

We have 10 new writers who joined IWW community recently, and they are - Chetna Khanna, Anupriya Chowdhary, Diya Batra, Nikita Munshi, Prarthana Gogoi, Neha Kakde, Saweini Laloo, Nazia Kamali, Tooba Ayesha, and Ananya Mondal (If I have left out any new writer's name please bring it to my notice.)

5. Contests and write for payment (Copy these links, paste each one of them on your browser and check for details.)

a)OPEN COUNTRY CHAPBOOK CONTEST -$20 ENTRY FEE. Deadline July 11, 2020. Open to any poet writing in English. Please submit a chapbook of original poems, 20-30 pages. The winner will receive $500 and ten author copies.

b) PEN 2 PAPER - A DISABILITY-FOCUSED CREATIVE WRITING COMPETITION -$5 ENTRY FEE. Deadline August 14, 2020. Prize structure: $200 for first, $100 for second, and $50 for third places in each division. Pen 2 Paper (P2P) creative writing competition seeks pieces of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry that treat the topic of disability. Whether or not you have experience as a creative writer, whether or not you have a disability, we want to hear your voice! While P2P is based in Texas, people from other states or countries are welcome to enter.

c) LA PICCIOLETTA BARCA COMPETITION -$10-$15 ENTRY FEE. Deadline September 1, 2020. The stimulus for our inaugural competition is the mind map created by the LPB team on the notion of ‘antimatter’. The finalists will be published in a special issue on October 7, 2020, and the three winning entries will receive cash prizes of $400, $200 and $100 respectively.

d) FICTION FACTORY PRIZE - GBP ENTRY FEE. Deadline July 31, 2020. The Competition is open to anyone aged 16 or over. International entries are welcome, but stories must be written in English. Stories must be previously unpublished. There is no minimum word count, but your story must not exceed 1,000 words. All genres will be accepted except Children's and Young Adult Fiction.

e) NICKIE'S PRIZE FOR HUMOR WRITING - Last day – Aug 1. Fee$25

f)BLUE MOUNTAIN ARTS POETRY CONTEST - ENTRY FEE. Deadline June 30, 2020. First prize $350, second prize $200, third prize $100. Winning poems displayed on the website. Poems can be rhyming or non-rhyming, although we find that non-rhyming poetry reads better.

g) THE BROKEN RIVER PRIZE - ENTRY FEE. Deadline July 31, 2020. For books between 35–50 pages in length (including section breaks). Receive publication and $250/£200 prize money. Finalists and winner will be announced late 2020. Finalists will be considered for publication. The contest is open internationally. The winner will receive ten copies of the published book as well as the $250 prize money.

h) SUMMER FLASH CONTEST - August 12th, 2020Grand prize: $1,000 and publication in our magazineWord count: 1,000 words or less
