Dark and cold
All over the world
Lights and Shadows
A play of hearts
Through many windows
People of all sorts
Lights and Shadows
So many shades of gray
Turmoil and joy
All reflecting in the day
Lights and Shadows
Some lurking invisible
Some parading in the open
All present all watching
Lights and Shadows
Illuminating through the years
Sparkling over many tears
Revealing all the dark fears
Lights and Shadows
Playing games, hiding truth
Burning minds, hiding lies
Struggling to take every breath
Lights and Shadows
Good and bad
Not so different
Yet so far off
Lights and Shadows
Glowing minds
Guardian angels
Singing and soothing
Lights and Shadows
Pale dark souls
Old bad ghouls
Writhing and whining
Lights and Shadows
Not one without another
Both useless with neither
Together forever
Lights and Shadows
In a deadly embrace twined
Each the others spine
The one that wins is the one you choose.
