Lost Love and Other Poems

LOST LOVE

Unobtrusively you
burst
on into
my languid life.
the cup i sipped
you had shared,ashtrays and beds.
loneliness comes
a sharp ache
cuts me
as tears drown my sorrow

POVERTY

A little waif,
she sat gathering
her tattered rags around her skeleton
unmindful of those
leering
at on her nakedness.
she hungered
as they feasted their eyes
on this living corpse
their fantasies agog:
as she begged.

FOUR SEASONS

It was summer.
suffocating togetherness
held us fast.
the rains washed us
leaving us wet and happy.
spring sprang a shock
you just left.
the cold winter
saw me alone,shivering.
