Mother

She pours down all that she contains,
She bears more than she can sustain,
And then all her life drains,
But just to see you smile, she stands right again.

Mother!
There’s the word worthy to sit next to God,
Whatever she does is struck and awed!
Cause she seems stronger than a petard,
And never expects for laud.

She knows your strength,
She knows your pain,
Her warmth is full of length,
She is an expert in washing your brain.

Her life and span,
Not in her plan,
But your simple tan,
Would worry her a tonne.

She loves your dimpled chin,
She knows about the buds on your tongue,
She knows how to brighten your skin,
And sees to it that you are fit and strong.

She is the only one who knows it all,
And always ready to pick you when you fall,
Cause she lives alone for the sake of your joy,
Like a lightening candle, for you, she would slowly cloy.

Oh! To express about her,
Not sufficient is my single letter,
But this one word “Mother”!
Contains it all, all together.

Yes all her gifts,
Are super hits,
And she’s the one who would never fail,
To pray for you when you sail.

Though sometimes left behind,
But none like her will you find,
Cause she is the one that God designed,
To spread love among mankind.

So shout out loud and take a bow!
To his best creation of God, above
And to all the mothers, then and now!

very heart touching poem on mothers. this is a true picture of a mother and this poem has described it all in a very humble and subtle way, the sacrifices of a mother for her children eventhough she gets completely drained of her energy. indeed a very lovely poem!
