I saw the shadow By the door; Opening the door, Saw none, But, The shadow, It was still there, Longer,larger—now.
Close it came, Closer and closer, Till my shadow Frightened, Vanished, Leaving me alone alone to follow The shadow- That shadow Growing longer and longer, Larger and larger. . larger
I agree with Geetashree's comment. The whole experience appears super/supra natural at first. But then, reading it again, one gets the feeling of how women are treated in society. Very good!

On the surface the poem denotes an experience supra-natural. However, a larger shadow engulfing a smaller, weaker shadow can also have different interpretations. Truly a verse activating a cavalcade of visuals!
