Sweet Potato Bajji

1 big sweet potato
Rice flour - 2 tsp
Besan flour - 2 tsp
Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Black til - 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida - a pinch
Cooking soda - a pinch
Salt - 1/2 tsp or as required

Peel the sweet potato and wash it well. Cut it into thin pieces and wash again to remove the stains.
Put the pieces into hot water for 3-5 minutes for blanching. Remove and wipe each piece to remove the excess water.
Mix the ingredients well with a spoon - rice flour, besan, chilli powder, turmeric powder, black til, asafoetida, cooking soda, and salt. Then add water and make a paste of it. Ensure that no lumps are there.
Heat the tawa, and add oil. Take a piece and coat it with the paste and deep fry. You can do this way with all pieces.
Remove from the tawa and keep each bajji in tissue paper to remove the excess oil. Now your yummy sweet potato bajji is ready. *** Check out this video
