2 cups oatmeal
100 gms carrot
1 small cabbage
1 large size onion
1 spoon of ginger paste
1 spoon of garlic paste
1 spoon of green chilli paste
Half TSP cumin seeds
Half TSP garam masala
Salt to taste
To garnish coriander leavesDirections:
1.Wash and cut all the vegetables into small cubes.
2.Heat 2 table spoons of cooking oil in a non-stick saucepot. Once the oil is heated add cumin seeds, ginger-garlic paste and green chilli paste. Now add all the vegetables in it and stir. Let it get roasted until the raw smell is gone.
3. At another side, dry roast 200 gms of oats and put it aside.
4. Once the vegetables are turned into light brown colour add 2 cups of water in it and let it boil. After few minutes add roasted oats into it and add garam masala,salt to taste.
5. Stir for one minute and remove it from the flame.
6. Remove the cooked vegetable oatmeal in a serving bowl and garnish it with finely chopped fresh coriander leaves. Serve hot.Tip:
Curd can also be served. ***
