Mudumalai National Park

Even though it happened 17 years ago when I was in my first grade,it seems to me as if it were happened yesterday. Our school arranged for a one day trip to Mudumalai National park in The Nilgiris district of Tamilnadu. It is around 36 Kilometeres from our school.

We started in the morning with our tiny bags packed with snacks, lunch and water bottles. Our dear school bus carried us to Mudumalai, playing the trending songs of that period.

Our teachers explained us the names of the animals and birds that came on our way. We were excited to spot peacocks for it was the first time we were witnessing a peacock. Also there was a herd of deer grazing in the forest. We were lucky enough to spot an elephant and I still remember how we screamed in excitement.

In the afternoon, we sat down under the trees by the sides of the road to have our lunch. It was funny as one of the monkeys stole a slice of bread from one of the students.

After having our lunch,we started our journey back to home.

It was indeed a memorable day to cherish.
