No Stopping

by Neelam Dadhwal
(Chandigarh, India)

the air is filled with
both rhythm and scent,
so ecstatic,
the one that is nurtured out of misery,
or of only thoughts
could not stop now
I watch the tender sky yield
to an innocent child,
let this be innocence,
let it be a moment,
when no harsh or wise words can decide
it could be not be any lesser
than the kingdom of gods,
when on a barren land
the rain falls,
the earth become wet,
this is the truth,
this is the joy.
