This Nenthra banana pachadi is very tasty and easy to prepare. For this purpose, fully ripe Kerala Nenthra banana is to be used.
Items required
Nenthra Banna (Kerala Banana) (chopped) - 2 Nos
small onions (shallots) - 8
Gren chillies (chopped) - 4
Chopped ginger - 1/2 tsp.
Coconut - 1 cup
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp.
Red chillies - 1 Nos
Mustard - 1 1/2 tsp.
Curds - 1 cup (or as desired)
Method of Preparation
- Cook the chopped pieces of banana, green chillies, ginger, shallots and salt in 1 1/2 cups of water.
- Grind coconut, cumin seeds, 1/2 tsp. mustard and add into it.
- Cook until the gravy is thickened.
- Remove from the stove and add curds and mix well.
- Season it with the remaining mustard, red chilli, chopped small onions, and curry leaves. Cover and keep it for a few minutes and only then use it.
