My love wouldn’t change
But so wouldn’t you
So I left the part of me
that couldn’t un-love
And I left you too
Your love wanted to hurt
Your love wanted to bait
Your love wanted to believe about me
Everything you could hate
My love didn’t bread crumb
My love was dumb
My love wanted to smell flowers
My love wanted to wait
Your love was a crowded place
Listening to all the voices in the room
Your love was entitled
Your love was a credulous fume
My love was a unique fragrance
An ever lasting perfume
My love was a yellow flower
Preparing itself to bloom
Your love was an abuse
While i made you my muse
Your love was a coward
Mine stepped forward
Your love didn’t communicate
Mine wanted clarity
Your love was a favour
Like a calculated charity
Your love gave me hell
My love gave me courage
Your love was a curse
A plastic filled sewage
Your love was cowardice and malice
A dumping ground of your self hate
My love didn’t deserve the stink
My love wanted to smell flowers
My love wanted to wait.
